Slack House Farm

slack-house

Slack House Farm is the home of the Birdoswald Cheese Dairy, a shop, cafe and visitor’s centre in the Scypen (shippen). It is a 45 ha organic dairy farm where the Daisylee herd of pedigree Ayshire cows produce milk from clover and herb-rich pastures. This quality fresh milk is used to make Birdoswald, a hand-crafted, traditional farmhouse cheese.
– Visitors can dine on food prepared from our own and locally produced organic and Fair Trade ingredients (recommended by Slow Food Cumbria)
