Growing Well is an community focused organic growing and training business. Located at Low Sizergh Farm just outside Kendal in South Cumbria.
We grow a wide range of seasonal vegetable and salad crops on our ten acre site. This is sold to local people through our Cropshare Scheme and to local food outlets including Low Sizergh Barn and Sizergh Castle Cafe.
We also train students on our site using our yurt-based classroom, as well as using the grounds of nearby National Trust property, Sizergh Castle. All our courses are taught in a very practical, hands-on way, by experienced growers and gardeners.
During the summer months, in partnership with Low Sizergh Farm, we run an educational visits programme for schools, teaching children about food and farming. Pupils can enjoy a real “hands on” experience and see how their food is grown. During the winter months our team of educational facilitators visit schools and run “food education” workshops.
