Get involved in designing soilquality.org.uk

Join us at a launch meeting for this new SARIC-funded project

soilquality.org.au comes to the UK

By 2018, soilquality.org.uk will be available to the industry as a new web-based decision support platform for agriculture.

The platform will provide:

  • access to robust interpretation of soil quality indicators for soil quality in the UK
  • clear information on the links between these indicators, crop performance, yield and environmental impacts
  • information on soil sampling, site characterisation and recommended lab. analysis
  • information on management approaches to address any soil-based constraints to production
  • opportunity to compare own site-specific data with data collected in the region/ soil type

At the launch meetings (see programme below), we will:

  • introduce the project,
  • examine the sister framework already in place in Australia (soilquality.org.au) and
  • identify the opportunities for you to get involved in shaping the web-platform
  • provide opportunities to pilot the approach on farm and have soil quality information recorded
